The Challenge
ANS CR, the state enterprise providing air navigation services in Czech airspace, set out to build a new comprehensive Business Intelligence solution on Microsoft Fabric and Power BI. For its Data Warehouse project it needed to reinforce the internal team with experts certified on Microsoft Fabric and experienced with lakehouse architecture, so the solution could be delivered on time and to the required quality.
Our Approach
We brought in a certified expert team (DP-600 Fabric Analytics Engineer, DP-700 Fabric Data Engineer) that works side by side with the ANS CR data team. Together we design the data architecture, build a lakehouse with a layered medallion structure and automated data-quality checks across DEV/TEST/PROD environments, model data marts for air-traffic indicators in SQL and Python, and contribute to Data Governance, the Power BI reporting layer, and CI/CD processes in Azure DevOps with dbt.
Outcome
Working as one team with ANS CR, a unified data platform is taking shape that gives operational and management users a single place for operational indicators — from traffic movements through sector load to airspace capacity. The engagement runs under a four-year framework agreement, progressively covers further operational domains, and know-how is continuously handed over to the internal team through joint work and shared documentation.
